The 80th Independence Day was celebrated on the St. Xavier’s High School Loyola Hall premises with great pride and fervour.

The celebrations started with the flag hoisting at 8 am followed by a patriotic song competition. The students had prepared for the same and their efforts were evident in abundance.

The much awaited annual football match between APX ( Association of Past Xavierites ) & the school team was a thriller and this year the young wards prevailed 3-1 over the stalwarts. Time for refreshments after the game and was a most fulfilled morning, an apt way to celebrate Independence Day, with all the stakeholders and collaborators of the institute present and making it so much more meaningful. The management, staff, students, alumni/ae, parents and benefactors, all inclusive make it larger and effective.
