Holy Family School at Sustainability Mela 2025
Inspiring Opening
Students and Teachers from Holy Family High School, Andheri participated in the Sustainability Mela 2025 during Mumbai Climate Week, beginning with a film screening and diya-lighting ceremony. Leaders including Shri Sudhakar Bobade, Mr Ronit Bhat, and Mr Konark Borkar shared the importance of community action and student leadership in sustainability.
Hands-on Learning
Students participated in engaging workshops on sustainable gift wrapping, green reading, and plastic-free décor, and explored exhibitions featuring eco-friendly games, NGO initiatives, and circular solutions.
Youth Voices
A keynote by UNICEF India’s Mr Yusuf Kabir highlighted climate resilience and sustainable development. Panel discussions followed, including one with student representatives and another with Chief Guest Dia Mirza, who inspired young climate champions to act boldly for the planet
Celebrating Impact
The event concluded with awards recognising Zero Waste Schools and their facilitators. Our students returned empowered with new ideas and motivation, grateful to our management, especially our Principal Fr. Andrew, and Zero Waste Project Mumbai for this meaningful opportunity.
