Loyola Public School, Guntur celebrates Golden Jubilee

Loyola Public School, Guntur crossed a great milestone by celebrating the Golden Jubilee on February 8th, 2014. The theme of the Jubilee was “Honouring the Past and Creating the Future”. The humble beginning made in 1964 with 13 students turned into 3300 a great reality in the form of this colosseum of human resource today. The concerted effort of the Jesuit Fathers, The Principal Rev. Fr. Uvari Antony, the teaching and non-teaching staff, and especially the key role played by the ALPS in organising the proceedings showcased the organisational abilities that LPS inculcates. The participation of the parents and the students gave a festive look and signified how interwoven they are in this great institution. The presence of all the guests invited showed the respect everyone has for this institution of excellence. More than 12, 000 Students, Parents, Alumni and officials witnessed the cultural gala staged by the students of LPS.

The Principal and the Director of ALPS played a key role with Alumni to resonate with the management to undertake the New construction of the Golden Jubilee building, Annual gathering, encouraging to attend National Alumni meetings and actively participating in the school activities. There were 1200 Old students witnessed the awaited Golden Jubilee Celebrations.  Most of them expressed that Our Alma Mater which shaped us with the innovative and creative to be men for others. The Director gratefully acknowledges the contribution of the ALPS and makes everyone feel at home. LPS staff and non-teaching staff and co-workers in the hostel had good and elegant dress code made them happy to continue their life with dedication and commitment.

The school offers its salutations to all concerned. The Jubilee Souvenir that is proposed to be brought out on this occasion will reflect the genesis and glimpses of the institution since inception and serve as a reference for future. This occasion will remain a sweet memory for everyone in the years to come and the school will continue to celebrate with much more vigour, the diamond jubilee, platinum jubilee and centenary etc., undeterred in future. The school on this occasion aptly Honoured all the past contributors and paved the way for Creating a brighter future as it believes that we are all “Born for greater things”.
