Pune Jesuit Province Education eNewsletter

The JEA Secretary Fr. Norbert Menezes has requested each of us PCE’s (Province Coordinators of Education) to initiate a new E Educational news
letter. This will enable all Jesuits and our lay collaborators engaged in the school apostolate, who are associated with it to read, update and pray
our apostolate. Before establishing networking nationally and internationally it was also strongly recommended during the last PCE’s meet in Patna that the sharing and the initiatives must begin from our own schools and institutions within the provinces. Charity begins at home!

APX celebrates Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola

APX ( Association of Past Xavierites) , St Xavier’s High School Loyola Hall Ahmedabad ) Members at the school today mrg to celebrate the Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola.

Mini sports was organised on the campus along with some more programs and APX was to partake along with students ,staff and management. Due to rains the outdoor events could not be hosted.

The alum takes time out from their schedule and is present ( whenever invited and involved ) for any activity the school undertakes. In working days it is indeed tough to attend programs , still the alum rises above any other call for duty and that is the Jesuit education and values imbibed in us over the years, by those wonderful and visionary Jesuits. Hope the legacy continues and the same sentiment prevails in the years to come..

Loyola Public School, Guntur celebrates Golden Jubilee

Loyola Public School, Guntur crossed a great milestone by celebrating the Golden Jubilee on February 8th, 2014. The theme of the Jubilee was “Honouring the Past and Creating the Future”. The humble beginning made in 1964 with 13 students turned into 3300 a great reality in the form of this colosseum of human resource today. The concerted effort of the Jesuit Fathers, The Principal Rev. Fr. Uvari Antony, the teaching and non-teaching staff, and especially the key role played by the ALPS in organising the proceedings showcased the organisational abilities that LPS inculcates. The participation of the parents and the students gave a festive look and signified how interwoven they are in this great institution. The presence of all the guests invited showed the respect everyone has for this institution of excellence. More than 12, 000 Students, Parents, Alumni and officials witnessed the cultural gala staged by the students of LPS.
